I'm Tássia, a 36-year-old Brazilian living in Helsinki. Since I moved here, I have quickly fallen in love with Finnish nature and lifestyle. Two years ago, I created the Secret Club because I had no idea how to make friends as an adult in a new country. I can’t stand not having female friends.
I’m a newsletter junkie—my inbox is my happy place. It’s my little corner away from the noise, with no FOMO or endless scrolling. That’s why all you need is an email to keep up and join in on our fun gatherings of the Club.

I'm Tati, I moved to Finland 8 years ago (already?!?) with my husband and daughter. During this time, our family grew up, and now we are a family of 5: me, husband, daughter, son, and our lovely dog-son Nalle.
We moved to Finland because we were looking for a healthier and safer environment for raising our daughter.
It always has been hard for me to make friends, but after moving and living for so long in our own bubble, the loneliness started to hit hard. And damn, it's sooo hard to make connections after growing up!
So, here I am :) I have tons of hobbies (and I wish I had more time for them): cooking and baking, electronics (prototyping), 3d printing, board and card games, reading (fantasy, fiction, novels, manga, and manhwa), and lately, pottery and crochet.

Hey Tati! I totally agree with you about making friends as an adult—it’s tough! I always say that when we’re teens, we’re supposed to make friends, and as adults, we’re supposed to HAVE them. Hi y'all! I'm Peppi, a 25-year-old Finn who lived abroad for about 5 years and has now returned to the lovey-dovey Finland, (or Otaniemi)! I really enjoyed my multicultural friend group abroad and now that I'm working with 99% Finnish colleagues I started missing that, so when I by accident stumbled upon this group I thought it would be a great way for me to meet some new friends both Finns and foreigners :)
So this is me:
-I'm a language and culture enthusiast who also loves all design related things! Studied multiple languages in the past but currently feel comfortable conversing in Finnish, German and English!
- In 2025 I'm building like a pilot for fun and interactive Finnish course for university students. I used to teach languages in Germany and it's been a dream of mine to start a class in Finland as well, so that's exciting!
-Planing is to stay alive still for the next 50 years so I like sports; especially running, swimming, yoga, badminton and cycling. So I'm also excited to go out and do some sports with you!
- Love cooking for people so could be nice to find a friend group to have dinners together
- As a teenager I used to read quite a lot so I with the book club I'm trying to increase doing that as well
- Most of my friends I know individually/live in distance from each other so I think my greatest wish would be to have like a small friend group that lives near by so we could meet easily/casually to have a sauna night with pizza and a movie or weekend morning walks in the forest where we discuss how to save the world and laugh!

I moved here with my cat, Sincap (which means squirrel in Turkish). She’s been my little partner in this adventure, and I can’t wait to make new connections and share stories with all of you.
Working with social media is quite tricky because we get constantly exposed to the algorithm. A friend told me that TikTok is less aggressive, but I never really tried (afraid to get even more addicted).

I think the influence of my Savo/Carelia heritage is strong in my sense of humour, the dialect (un?)fortunately is invisible when I speak English though :)

I'm Salla and I'm a Finn, but I tend to gravitate towards the international scene, partly because my husband is Australian and we speak both English and Finnish at home. We lived in the UK before but have been living in Espoo since 2008, with no plans to move away.
We have a son (almost 11) and very, very soon (4 days!) we will have two new fur babies, Neva Masquerade kittens called Frida and Helmi. 🐈🐈
I am an enthusiastic sewist and knitter. If you're on Threadloop or Ravelry, look me up (my nickname is Tinks and Iseult, respectively)! I'm into all kind of fun stuff, but I'm also a homebody, so realistically it can take a bit to bust my ass out the door and actually go somewhere!
I'm a pretty bad cook but I've made it my 2025 goal to learn to cook better. I do like baking though, and all other kinds of projects that involve precision (quilting, electronic circuits, puzzles, etc.). I'm a trivia fiend, so if there is a quiz night on the horizon, sign me up!
